INFORMATION ON MSM

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) is an organosulfur compound. Sulfur is essential in the functioning of hormones, enzymes, antibodies and antioxidants.

It’s generally known for its antioxidative and antiinflammatory properties that hold potential for joint health. MSM provides the necessary sulfur essential for various bodily compounds.

Research has shown that MSM supplementation can decrease symptoms of osteoarthritis, ensures connective tissue health and formation of collagen.

MSM seems to decrease muscle damage and soreness post-exercise, helping to repair and replace damaged tissues. It is thought that the underlying mechanism of this benefit is a decrease in exercise induced oxidation because of MSM.

Sulfur also maintains cell membranes, aids with carbohydrate metabolism and energy production, and helps to regulate the body's pH balance.

A decrease in pollen-induced allergies has also been noted with MSM  particularly a decrease in upper respiratory symptoms.

How it works:

MSM (sulfur) works uniquely and affects the cell membrane by decreasing the pressure inside the cell and removing fluids and toxins.

Methylsulfonylmethane may be a way to negate a sulfur deficiency. A sulphur deficiency has been linked to joint complications.
